What is the Plano West Wolf Den PTSA?
The purpose of the Plano West Senior High School Parent-Teacher-Student Association is to provide for the safety and welfare of the children and students in the school, home, and community.
Our mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
How do we fulfill our mission?
We show our students, teachers, and faculty that they are important to us and that their everyday activities matter.
We remind our graduating students that their future is limitless by providing over $10,000 in senior scholarships. We celebrate their successes by hosting the Senior Lunch and providing desserts for the Senior Awards Banquet.
We inspire community spirit by sponsoring the Blue Nation t-shirts for every student and staff member at no charge at the beginning of the year, and by offering these shirts for sale to our Plano West feeder pattern schools.
We advocate for the health and welfare of our students by planning and orchestrating the Senior Night Live event after the Senior Prom including subsidizing the entrance cost, providing thousands of dollars of prizes to students who attend, and providing volunteers to chaperone the event in an effort to keep them in a safe, alcohol-free environment after prom ends.
We host multiple lunches and treat opportunities for our Plano West teachers and staff throughout the year to recognize birthdays and special celebrations, including sponsoring attendance for our nominated teachers at the Teacher of the Year Banquet.
We partner with our Plano West Counseling staff to host and provide volunteers for College Night.
We volunteer in the front office, the copy room, and as needed to Plano West administration requests for assistance.
We value your support and do our best to make it count!
